From 6 Weeks Baby & Parent Your Living Room Calm & Private London & Hertfordshire

Why At Home

Calm For Baby,
Calm For You.

Private baby yoga at home removes everything that makes group baby classes hard: the timing of nap-windows, packing the bag, the carseat shuffle, the traffic, the studio temperature, the other babies setting yours off. The teacher comes to your living-room. You stay in your own space, your baby in their own routine.

Sessions blend gentle baby massage, supported postures, sensory play and breath-paced movement. Every session is built around how your baby is on the day — sleepy, alert, hungry, fizzy. Toddler sessions add playful movement, copying games, simple yoga poses and calming wind-down at the end.

Every Session Covers

What Sessions
Include.

Bonding

Skin To Skin & Eye Contact

Sessions are built around the parent-baby relationship. Gentle holding, eye contact, mirroring and unhurried connection.

Movement

Supported Postures

Supported leg cycling, supported back stretches, hip-opening movements. Gentle, evidence-informed, never forced.

Massage

Baby Massage Elements

Light massage techniques on legs, tummy and back. Soothing for baby, comforting for the colicky or unsettled.

Sensory

Songs & Sensory Play

Simple songs, finger-rhymes and sensory props help your baby's sensory and language development through every session.

Toddler

Playful Poses

For 1 to 3 year olds — animal poses, copying games, simple breath play. Calm, never strict, always playful.

Wind Down

Settle & Cuddle

Every session ends with a quiet wind-down — soft lighting, holding, slow breathing. Many parents report calmer naps after.

Who It's For

New Parents
Who Value Space.

Many of our baby yoga families are already SwimFitz parents through baby swimming lessons. The same instinct applies: you would rather have a fully qualified teacher in your home, in your routine, with your baby getting full attention — than join a packed studio class.

Equally common is the parent of a new baby (or a fizzy one) for whom a group class simply does not work yet. Private home sessions remove all of the variables and give you a calm, professional hour focused entirely on you both.

First-time parents wanting confidence and connection
Second or third babies — group class is impractical
Babies who do not settle in busy environments
Twins — manageable at home, impossible in a studio

Simple Process

How It Works.

01 — Enquire

Tell Us About Baby

Complete the booking form. Baby's age, any notes from your midwife or health visitor, your address and your preferred times.

02 — Match

We Match A Teacher

We assign a vetted, qualified baby yoga teacher to your area. We confirm credentials before the first session.

03 — First Session

Teacher Arrives At Home

The teacher arrives with mats and props. You stay in your own space, in your normal routine. Session length around 45 minutes.

04 — Progress

Weekly Or Block

Most parents settle into weekly sessions. Many continue from baby yoga into toddler yoga as your child grows.

Common Questions

Baby Yoga
FAQs.

What qualifications does the baby yoga teacher hold?
All our baby yoga teachers hold a recognised baby yoga teacher training qualification (Birthlight, Sirona Stillness or equivalent), a foundational yoga teaching qualification (typically a 200-hour Yoga Alliance accreditation), carry enhanced DBS clearance and full public liability insurance. We share credentials with you before any session is confirmed.
How young can my baby start?
We welcome babies from 6 weeks — once your six-week postnatal check is done and you and baby are settled. If you would like to start earlier or have specific considerations, mention it on enquiry and we will advise.
What if baby cries or feeds during the session?
Completely expected. Sessions are paced entirely around your baby — feeding, settling, nappy changes, brief naps are all built in. That is precisely why a private home session works better than a class for many babies. Nothing is rushed.
Do I need any equipment or space?
No. The teacher brings mats and props. The only requirement is a warm, calm space — a normal living-room is perfect. We will ask about your space at the point of enquiry.
Can I continue into toddler yoga as my baby grows?
Yes — and most families do. Toddler yoga (1 to 3 years) keeps the same calm format but adds playful movement, animal poses and simple breathing games. The same teacher continues so the transition is seamless.
Is this a postnatal yoga class for me?
It is parent-and-baby yoga — you participate throughout, and most sessions include some gentle stretches and breathing for you too. If you would prefer a fully postnatal yoga focus alongside baby yoga, mention it on enquiry and we can tailor accordingly.
