About SwimFitz
SwimFitz is a swimming lesson platform operated by Brian FitzGerald. We connect you with qualified, vetted Associate Teachers for private home swimming lessons. All bookings and payments are handled by SwimFitz. Your lesson is delivered by one of our Associate Teachers.
By making a booking with SwimFitz, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Booking
1.1 All bookings are made through SwimFitz via our website or direct communication.
1.2 A booking is confirmed once payment is received in full.
1.3 Your lesson will be delivered by a qualified Associate Teacher allocated by SwimFitz.
1.4 SwimFitz reserves the right to allocate a different teacher if your original teacher is unavailable, subject to equivalent qualifications.
2. Pricing
2.1 Private home swimming lesson (60 min): fee as agreed at the time of booking.
2.2 All fees include the teacher's travel to your location.
2.3 Fees are reviewed periodically — your agreed rate applies for your current booking.
3. Payment
3.1 Payment is due in full at the time of booking.
3.2 All payments are made directly to SwimFitz. Do not pay any teacher directly — your payment is not protected if made outside of SwimFitz.
3.3 Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, card via Stripe link.
3.4 Receipts are issued via email upon payment.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
4.1 48 or more hours' notice: full refund or free rescheduling.
4.2 24–48 hours' notice: 50% refund.
4.3 Less than 24 hours' notice: no refund.
4.4 If SwimFitz cancels, you will receive a full refund or be offered a replacement lesson at no extra cost. SwimFitz is not liable for cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, illness, pool access issues).
5. Health & Safety
5.1 You are responsible for ensuring your pool is safe, clean, and fit for use before the lesson.
5.2 Please inform us of any medical conditions, disabilities, or health concerns relevant to swimming before your first lesson.
5.3 All SwimFitz Associate Teachers hold current Enhanced DBS certificates and appropriate qualifications.
5.4 Lessons involving children under 18 must have a parent or guardian present on the premises at all times.
5.5 SwimFitz and its teachers accept no liability for accidents arising from unsafe pool conditions that were not disclosed prior to the lesson.
6. Safeguarding
6.1 SwimFitz takes safeguarding seriously. All Associate Teachers hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate.

7. Your Teacher
7.1 SwimFitz introduces you to a qualified Associate Teacher to deliver your lessons. Your teacher is self-employed and contracted to SwimFitz.
7.2 All contractual and payment obligations remain with SwimFitz — not with the individual teacher.
7.3 Please do not arrange private lessons directly with your SwimFitz teacher, or make payment to them outside of this platform. Doing so is outside our safeguarding and insurance framework.
8. Attendance & Behaviour
8.1 Swimmers must be ready at the agreed start time. Late arrivals are not compensated.
8.2 A responsible adult must remain on-site for all swimmers under 16.
8.3 Disruptive behaviour may result in immediate termination of lessons without refund.
9. Weather & Pool Maintenance
9.1 Lessons may be rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions for outdoor pools. SwimFitz will notify you promptly.
9.2 Pool unavailability due to maintenance is the client's responsibility to communicate in advance. Refunds are not automatically issued.
10. Photography & Media
10.1 No photography or video recording is permitted during lessons without prior written consent from SwimFitz.
10.2 SwimFitz may occasionally photograph or film sessions for marketing purposes only with your prior written consent.
11. Data & Privacy
11.1 SwimFitz collects your name, contact details, and relevant health information to deliver your lessons safely.
11.2 We share your details with your allocated teacher for the purpose of delivering your lesson only. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
11.3 All personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
12. Complaints
12.1 If you are unhappy with any aspect of your lesson, please contact us within 48 hours via [email protected] or WhatsApp.
12.2 We will respond within 2 business days and work to resolve any issue fairly.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using SwimFitz services, you agree to these Terms in full.
