Yes. Children's lessons follow the Swim England Learn to Swim pathway — structured, nationally recognised progression personalised to your child.
Most clients see real improvement within 3–5 sessions. Private coaching is significantly faster than group lessons — every minute is focused on one swimmer.
Yes — one of our specialities. Water anxiety is approached with patience and a structured programme. The privacy of your own pool makes a huge difference.

Your Pool
Most private pools work — indoor or outdoor, heated or unheated (weather permitting). Appropriate depth for planned activities required. We discuss your pool before the first lesson.
Ensure the pool is clean, accessible and at a comfortable temperature. Your coach brings all teaching aids. A brief safety check is done before the first lesson at any new pool.
The Coach
Yes. Brian FitzGerald is STA and ASA qualified, holds an enhanced DBS certificate, is fully insured with public liability cover and holds current first aid certification. Learn more.
Yes — the same coach every session. Consistency is a core advantage of SwimFitz. Brian knows your swimmer and tracks progress continuously.
For children under 16, a responsible adult must remain on-site. For baby swimming, a parent is in the water throughout. Adult swimmers need no chaperone.
