Introduction
Welcome to SwimFitz. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including private home swimming lessons and all related activities. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Fees & Payment
1.1 — Lesson fees vary based on location, lesson type and package selected. Please contact us for specific pricing details.
1.2 — All fees must be paid in full no later than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson or package start date.
1.3 — We accept payment via debit/credit card or bank transfer.
1.4 — Returned payments may incur a £20.00 administrative fee.
1.5 — Discounts or promotions (where applicable) will be applied at the time of booking and cannot be retroactively applied.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
2.1 — Lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours' notice without penalty.
2.2 — Cancellations made within 48 hours of a lesson will incur a 50% charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a 100% charge.
2.3 — Refunds are not issued for missed lessons or unused sessions unless agreed upon in writing.
2.4 — In the event SwimFitz needs to cancel a lesson, a full refund or reschedule will be offered.
3. Medical & Individual Needs
3.1 — All medical conditions, disabilities, or individual needs must be disclosed before the first lesson so our instructors can make necessary adjustments to lesson plans.
3.2 — While we make every effort to accommodate individual requirements, some circumstances may be outside our ability to manage and alternative arrangements may be recommended.
4. Health & Safety
4.1 — SwimFitz instructors conduct a safety assessment of your pool prior to the first lesson. However, the pool owner is responsible for ensuring the pool area meets health and safety standards, including clean water quality, secure fencing and safe equipment.
4.2 — SwimFitz is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or incidents resulting from unsafe pool environments or failure to comply with safety advice provided.
4.3 — Parents and guardians must supervise children before and after lessons.
5. Attendance & Behaviour
5.1 — Swimmers should be ready at the agreed lesson start time. Late arrivals will not be compensated with extended lesson time.
5.2 — For children under 16, a responsible adult must remain on-site throughout the lesson.
5.3 — Disrespectful or disruptive behaviour from swimmers, parents, or guardians may result in immediate termination of lessons without refund.
6. Instructors
6.1 — All SwimFitz instructors are fully qualified and hold up-to-date certifications in swim instruction, lifesaving and first aid.
6.2 — While we aim to provide instructor consistency, this cannot be guaranteed due to scheduling or unforeseen circumstances.
7. Pool & Liability
7.1 — SwimFitz provides lessons at your home or private pool. It is your responsibility to ensure the pool complies with safety regulations, including water quality and appropriate depth for the agreed activities.
7.2 — SwimFitz accepts no liability for defects or hazards in the pool area, illnesses caused by poor water quality, or injuries sustained from pre-existing pool conditions.
7.3 — Any equipment provided by SwimFitz remains the property of SwimFitz and must be returned after lessons where applicable.
8. Photography & Privacy
8.1 — No photography, video recording or live streaming is permitted during lessons without prior written consent from SwimFitz.
8.2 — SwimFitz may request to capture images or videos for marketing purposes only with prior consent.
8.3 — All personal information provided to SwimFitz is kept confidential in accordance with UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Weather & Pool Maintenance
9.1 — Lessons may be rescheduled in the event of unsafe weather conditions (e.g. lightning, strong winds) for outdoor pools. SwimFitz will notify you as soon as possible to arrange a new date.
9.2 — If the pool is unavailable due to maintenance or repair, it is the client's responsibility to notify SwimFitz. Lessons may be rescheduled, but SwimFitz is not obligated to issue refunds for cancellations caused by pool unavailability.
10. Insurance & Liability
10.1 — SwimFitz holds public liability insurance covering accidents and incidents caused directly by our instructors.
10.2 — SwimFitz is not liable for accidents caused by unsafe pool environments, injuries resulting from swimmer negligence, or loss or damage to personal belongings.
11. Termination of Lessons
SwimFitz reserves the right to terminate lessons in cases of:
- Non-payment of fees
- Unsafe pool conditions
- Disruptive behaviour from swimmers or guardians
- Failure to adhere to these Terms & Conditions
